Dutch concede first goal in 11 matches

STUTTGART, June 16 (Reuters) The Netherlands conceded their first goal in 11 competitive matches today in their World Cup Group C match against Ivory Coast and keeper Edwin van der Sar's clean sheet record ended at 1,013 minutes.

The Dutch had not let in a goal in their previous 10 non-friendly encounters, an all-time European record.

Van der Sar could do little as Ivorian Bakary Kone struck a venemous right-foot drive from 20 minutes in the 38th minute of today's match.

The Dutch, holding a 2-1 halftime lead, could still extend their unbeaten streak to 14 matches. Their run of 13, all under coach Marco van Basten, is the longest current unbeaten stretch worldwide.
