Dengue Vector mosquito on rise in Delhi
New Delhi, June 16 (UNI) With Dengue vector mosquito breeding on the rise in the national capital, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) today appealed to people to initiate adequate steps to prevent mosquito breeding.
It said cross checking by entomologists of Anti Malaria Operations has revealed that in several localities, including Munirka village, Ambedkar Nagar and Bapa Nagar, mosquito breeding was on the this month.
''In most cases breeding has been detected in desert coolers,'' it added.
''Administrative heads of all government and semi-government departments, Resident Welfare Associations, citizens and others must ensure that this is checked,'' the MCD said.
The MCD said it was the duty of all citizens to adopt measures against breeding of mosquitoes.
