Bhaktipada elected Dy Speaker of WB assembly

Kolkata, Jun 16: Forward Bloc legislator Bhaktipada Ghosh was today elected unopposed as Deputy Speaker of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly.

Election of Mr Ghosh was unanimous as Oppositions - Trinamool Congress and the Congress - did not field any candidate for the post.

Earlier on June 12 Mr Hasim Abdul Halim was unanimousoly elected as the Speaker.

The TMC had boycotted the election.
