Argentina bring in midfielder Gonzalez

GELSENKIRCHEN, June 16 (Reuters) Argentina as expected made a single change to their team for the Group C match with Serbia&Montenegro today, Luis Gonzalez replacing Esteban Cambiasso in midfield.

Serbia and Montenegro coach Ilija Petkovic made a late change to his team, bringing in defender Milan Dudic instead of Ivica Dragutinovic, switching from his preferred 4-4-2 formation to 3-5-2 in order to solidify the midfield.

Petkovic, whose side lost their opening match 1-0 to Netherlands last Sunday, also dropped right back Nenad Djordjevic and brought in winger Ognjen Koroman.

Argentine coach Jose Pekerman wants creative midfielder Juan Roman Riquelme to push further forward. Argentina won their opening game 2-1 against Ivory Coast.

Teenage prodigy Lionel Messi was on the bench, having recovered from a slight injury to his left foot early in the week.
