AIYL demands discussion on Mukherjee Commission report in Parliament
Kolkata, Jun 16 (UNI) Ruling Left Front's ally Forward Bloc's student's wing All India Youth League(AIYL) today demanded to the Centre for discussing the Mukherjee Commission report in the coming monsoon session in Parliament.
In a rally here, AIYL general secretary Naren Chatterjee said, " If the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance(UPA) government does not accept the Mukherjee Commission report and discuss in the coming session, we will organise mass movement against the Centre. " The Centre should accept the Commission report and discuss it in the coming session, he said and demanded that the "Netaji Bhavan" be declared a heritage buildling.
" We are condemning the UPA and previous NDA governments besides the Nehru family for not accepting the Commission's report, " Mr Chatterjee said.
" We have taken several agitational programmes, " he said adding on July 12 the AIYL would submit a deputation about the early implementation of the Mukherjee Commission report to Governor Gopal Krishna Gandhi.
Later, a rally would be held at Rani Rashmoni Road of central Kolkata, he said.
He also said on July 20 the party would organise blockade in front of all the central offices in the state and would also sit in a dharna in front of Parliament on July 26.
