About 250 grenades seized

Guntur, Jun 16 (UNI) Police today recovered about 250 grenades, some foreign-made, from the fringes of a forest near Manchikally village in Guntur district.

Police said the grenades were unearthed during combing operations in view of the coming July 2 panchayat elections.

The grenades were intended either to attack police or for supply to pro-naxal contestants in the elections, police added.
