Woman and paramour get life sentence in murder case

Patna, Jun 15 (UNI) A local court today handed down life imprisonment to a woman for killing her husband in 1999.

Additional district and sessions judge of Patna Ramnivas Prasad also slapped similar punishment to her paramour Anil Mahto in the murder case.

According to the charges a resident of Baliari village under Vikram police station of Patna district Rita Devi murdered her husband Ajay Kumar in the dense forest of Rajgir in Nalanda district in 1999 in colusion with a co-villager Anil Mahato .

The only eye witness to the murder was a minor daughter of the victim, Ritu Kumari, who had narrated the crime before the court.

She broke down in the court while narrating the gory incident of her father's end.
