Taj Hotels evinces interest in Doha

Dubai, Jun 15 (UNI) Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces, a part of the multi-billion dollar Tata group, has expressed keen interest in setting up a property in Doha.

The company, which already has a presence in Qatar as a partner of Qatar Airways' Frequent Flyer programme, might consider partnering possibilities with the Qatar National Hotels Company (QNHC) or some others once it makes up its mind on investing.

Tata Chairman Ratan Tata was in Doha yesterday on a brief stopover from Rome en route to Mumbai accompanied by senior executives, Tata Steel Managing Director B Muthuraman and Tata Group director R K Krishna Kumar.

Taj Hotels already has opearations in Yemen, Dubai and Oman in the Middle East.
