Spain players rewarded with day off after 4-0 win

KAMEN, Germany, June 15 (Reuters) Spain's players were rewarded with some extra free time after their crushing 4-0 victory over Ukraine in their opening match in the World Cup yesterday.

The players squad went through a gentle recovery session this morning but were given the rest of the day off and time to meet up with their wives and girlfriends. They do not need to report back for training until tomorrow afternoon.

The win over Ukraine gave Spain their best start to a World Cup and was only their fourth opening victory in 12 appearances in the tournament.

They play Tunisia in Stuttgart in their second match on Monday and complete their games in Group H when they meet Saudi Arabia in Kaiserslautern four days later.
