Santos set to miss next Tunisia match
MUNICH, June 14 (Reuters) Francileudo Dos Santos is likely to miss Tunisia's next Group H match against Spain after sitting out the side's first World Cup game due to injury, Tunisia's coach Roger Lemerre said today.
The Brazil-born striker is recovering from a leg injury and missed Tunisia's 2-2 against Saudi Arabia.
Asked whether Santos would be ready for the next game, Lemerre said: ''No, I don't think so. It does not look like it.'' Tunisia play against Spain in Stuttgart on June 19. Spain thrashed Ukraine 4-0 in their opener today.
Lemerre said he planned to beat Spain by ''taking stock of the situation''.
''There are players on the bench who will be playing, not all of them but some. We need fresh blood, I don't think I should tire my players, we can't afford that,'' he told a news conference.
Tunisia's Ziad Jaziri, who was named Man of the Match, said it was tough game without Santos: ''When you have a player as good as Santos not playing, any team will have a difficult time,'' he told reporters.
