Samsung launches revolutionary technology in India
Bangalore, Jun 15 (UNI) Digital Technology leader Samsung India today launched its state-of-the-art 'Eye Fresh Technology' monitors in the Indian market.
Available in two sizes, 15 and 17 inches, the monitors were differentiated on account of their unique Magic Green Technology.
The monitors had a vital coating on the rear that emitted Anions and Far Infrared rays that serve to make the environment fresh, relax the human body and ease the strain on human eyes.
Samsung Deputy Managing Director Ravinder Zutshi, releasing the new products in the Indian market, along with the simultaneous launch in Korea and China, also announced the launch of the World's slimmest CDT monitor 'Magic Green Slim' monitor with its sleek and innovative design.
Talking to reporters, he said the company would invest US Dollars 20 million during this year for new activities. It had already invested USD 150 million since 1996, including USD 20 million, on Research and Development, he added.
He said the company's overall sales turnover was Rs 6,300 crore during the last year, of which IT business accounted for 20 per cent. The overall growth this year was expected to be around 20 per cent, he added.
Samsung's IT business Vice President, Sanjay Sharma, who was also present, said the company expected a 50 per cent growth in its CDT monitor business this year and hoped to retain its leadership position in display products in the Indian Markets. At the end of first quarter this year, the company enjoyed a 42 per cent market share in CDT monitors and 55 per cent market share in LCD monitors in India. ''Our key focus this year will be to educate our customers on the superior quality and the health benefits of our EFT range of monitors,'' he added.
