Rupee flat, closes at Rs 45.98/99 USD

Mumbai, June 15: The rupee today closed flat at Rs 45.98/99 per US dollar as compared to the previous close.

The Indian currency today opened at Rs 45.96/99 per USD and in the mid-morning session traded at Rs 45.99 USD.

The six-month forward premia was up at 0.89 as compared to 0.86 per cent and the one year premia was also up at 1.07 per cent against 1.04 per cent yesterday.

RBI fixed the reference rate at Rs 45.91 USD today.

The rupee showed firm performance against other currencies: Rupee vs Euro down at Rs 57.98 (57.67), Rupee vs Pound Sterling was down at Rs 84.97(84.46) and against yen it was down at Rs 40.0 (39.87).
