Rivals shoot down KLNLF cadre

Diphu, Jun 15 (UNI) A KLNLF militant was killed in an encounter with an anti-KLNLF gang.

Police said the incident took place when the members of the gang attacked Mirjang Terang's, the 'Sergeant Commandant' of the KLNLF, house at 2030 hours yesterday.

Police today recovered his body, along with a 9 mm pistol, at Rongdo village in Japorajan locality under Bokajan police station in Karbi Anglong district.

Terang was involved in a number of extortion cases in various places of Bokajan subdivision.
