Rain expected in North-East India

Pune, June 15 (UNI) In the region where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in, day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Vidharba and were above normal in east Uttar Pradesh and West Madhya Pradesh. They were appreciably below normal in Rajasthan and were below normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. They were normal over rest of the region.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura and Andaman and Nicobar isladns and at few places in West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakhsadweep, and at isolated places in Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh , Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Rajastha, Madhya Pradesh.
