NCC Delegation Returns From Singapore

New Delhi, June 15 (UNI) An NCC delegation comprising cadets selected from all over the country recently visited Singapore under the International Youth Exchange Programme.

The delegation comprising two officers and nine cadets participated in activities like camping, weapons-firing, cultural presentation, visit to a Singapore Royal Air Force base, ride on a C-130 transporter, air experience programme and visit to the Naval Diving Unit.

The delegation today called on NCC Additional Director General Air Vice Marshal Parvesh Kumar here and apprised him of their experiences in Singapore.

AVM Kumar expressed satisfaction over the excellent performance of the Cadets while participating in various activities in Singapore.

He said every year the youth, especially NCC Cadets, visited different countries under the International Youth Exchange Programme and their performance was well appreciated by the organisers in these countries.

The cadets, too, returned home filled with enthusiasm and confidence, he said hoping that this visit would help in strengthening bilateral ties with Singapore.

In Singapore, the NCC Cadets also visited various places of historical importance including the Changi Chapel, Singapore National Museum and the famous Merlion Park. Besides, these cadets had an extensive interaction with cadets from other countries.
