Nagaland inks MoU with Israel firm
Kohima, Jun 15 (UNI) Nagaland Government has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with TAHAL Consulting Engineers Ltd, Israel, with special focus on water management and agriculture planning in the state.
The MOU was signed at the office of Nagaland Chief Secretary yesterday, in which it was agreed that TAHAL, as an engineering consultant, shall establish a project office with the help of the state government to coordinate with various departments in Kohima.
The MOU also stated that the priority area shall be water management, drainage, sanitation, development of urban amenities and service and that TAHAL shall provide all international and domestic technical inputs required for successful completion of the projects.
TAHAL will work in close coordination with the state government for preparation of projects appraisal documents for accessing funds for projects from different multi-lateral funding agencies like World Bank, Asian Development Bank and others.
TAHAL will initially liaise with various departments for collection of information and data to focus on fast track priority projects.
During the deal, TAHAL Consulting Engineering Ltd Managing Director (Asia Operations) Meir Shimko represented the company while the state was represented by Chief Secretary Lalhuma UNI AS CS DS1403
