LeT area commander killed in Doda

Doda, June 15 (UNI) Security forces today gunned down a Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) Area Commander at Dugli Prano area, 10 km from here, sources said.

The sources said search parties of 4 Rashtriya Rifles and Special Task Force of police, on specific information, cordoned off the hideout of the militant. They were fired upon and in the ensuing encounter the militant was killed.

He was indentified as Mohammed Iqbal alias Noor Mohammed alias Abu Osama.

One AK 47 rifle, two magazines, two hand grenades and a wireless set were recovered from him.
