Lara obliges Sehwag's autograph request

St Lucia, June 15 (UNI) Virender Sehwag was lucky to get Brian Lara out leg before in the drawn second Test here and he could not have asked for a better reward for the effort as his request for an autograph on the wicket-taking ball was met with a smiling yes by the West Indies skipper.

The man of the match winner for his brilliant 180-run knock in the first innings, Sehwag threw the ball, with which he took Lara's wicket despite the the delivery pitching outside the off stump, at the Windies skipper for an autograph after the conclusion of the prize distribution ceremony.

''You spell it as S-E-H-W-A-G right?'' asked Lara, who returned in a couple of minutes with the signed ball that read, ''Good arm ball pitched outside but hitting off stump. Great effort! Brian Lara.'' Sehwag bowled 30 overs in the second innings where he met the lone success with Lara's wicket but Indian skipper Rahul Dravid was full of praise for his bowling and wanted him to take the role more seriously.

''Viru bowled like a full time bowler. He is enjoying his bowling and bowls lovely line for an off spinner. It is important for him to be consistent. He showed today he can be consistent,'' said Dravid.
