Kalam to present TERI awards for 2004-05

New Delhi, June 15 (UNI) President A P J Abdul Kalam will present the Tata Energy Research Institute (TERI) corporate awards for the year 2004-05 on June 26 .

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit will address the function.

This year, 152 corporates applied for the awards, a TERI statement said here.

TATA International Ltd, Shree Cements Ltd, OIL India Ltd, ITC Ltd, Ballarpur Industries Ltd and ONGC Ltd were among the winners of these awards for the year 2003-04.

TERI instituted its Corporate awards for Environmental Excellence in 2001 and corporate excellence in 2002. A nine member jury, chaired by former Chief Justice of India Justice J S Verma, selects the winners after screening process.
