Polulation Minister Chaudhary Shahbaz Hussain told the state-owned Pakistan Television that the budget for the next fiscal offered a lot of incentives for the parents who followed the population welfare policies of the government.

To make the ongoing population welfare campaign more effective and result-oriented, the minister would visit the Northern Areas, Pakistan occupied Kashmir and tribal regions from July 15 .

He said that the government had a political commitment to control population and provide a better standard of living, adding that the high population growth was affecting its efforts in providing people with health cover, education, housing, jobs and foodstuff.
