Gunmen kill 10 labourers in Iraqi town

BAQUBA, Iraq, June 15 (Reuters) Gunmen shot dead 10 labourers as they were heading to work in the Iraqi city of Baquba today, a police source said.

The source said the gunmen stopped the minibus the labourers were travelling in, forced them to get out and killed them.

Baquba is the capital of Diyala, a volatile and religiously mixed province north of Baghdad that has seen many gruesome attacks in recent weeks. Labourers are often attacked in Iraq, usually when they gather waiting for work.
