France's Malouda fit to play, coach says
HAMELIN, Germany, June 15 (Reuters) Midfielder Florent Malouda is fit to play France's second World Cup Group G match against South Korea on Sunday, coach Raymond Domenech said today.
''He (Malouda) has now resumed normal training and can do what the others do, which means he can play,'' Domenech, who said all players in his 23-strong squad were fit, told reporters.
Malouda was ruled out of France's opening match, a 0-0 draw with Switzerland on Tuesday, for an unknown reason. Domenech is refusing to make medical information about the players available to the media.
The Olympique Lyon midfielder was back in action yesterday, playing a friendly with the team's reserves.
Malouda had started France's three warm-up games. Providing he stays fit, he should start the match against South Korea in Leipzig.
Togo are also in that group.
