Cash Back scheme from SBI
Coimbatore, Jun 15 (UNI) State Bank of India (SBI) is launching a 'Cash Back Programme' in ten cities across the country from tomorrow, in which ATM customers can use their ATM Debit Cards for purchasing household articles and paying hotel and restaurant bills, with a cash back discount of between three to six per cent.
Addressing a press conference here today, SBI Deputy General Manager David Azaraah said the programme had been introduced in cities like Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Ernakulam, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Lucknow, Pune, Vadodara and Vishakhapatnam.
To a question, he said the programme was aimed at creating awareness among customers about the use of debit cards. Once they could use this card for purchases directly, it would save time and there would be no need to handle cash.
He said the bank had 5580 ATMS around the country and for this module they had 63 ATMS. It was planned to add 120 ATMS in this year.
