Carragher plays for England, Rooney on bench
NUREMBERG, June 15 (Reuters) England made one expected change to their starting side for today's Group B match against Trinidad&Tobago, Jamie Carragher replacing the injured Gary Neville at right back.
But there was good news for England as 20-year-old striker Wayne Rooney was passed fit to take his place as a substitute. He did not play in England's 1-0 victory over Paraguay.
Neville strained a calf during training at the Frankenstadion last evening.
Trinidad&Tobago made two changes to the team that drew 0-0 with Sweden, defensive midfielder Aurtis Whitley coming in for defender Avery John who is suspended and midfielder Kenwyne Jones replacing Collin Samuel.
