Bus services affected due to Naxal bandh

Bhopal, June 15 (UNI) Bus services to and from Balaghat in south eastern Madhya Pradesh remained paralysed on the second day today following the CPI(Maoist) Naxalites call for 'Chakkajam' to protest police atrocities.

However, the situation in other parts of the state was normal, police sources here said.

Extra vigil was being maintained in Balaghat, Dindori, Mandla and Sidhi districts, they said.

Earlier, the police sources said this was the first time that much impact was felt on the two-day call given by the Naxalites.

Besides Balaghat, Naxalites are also active in Mandla, Dindori and Sidhi districts.
