ANC arrests five foreigners for possessing cociane
Mumbai, June 15 (UNI) Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Mumbai Police has arrested five foreign nationals and seized cocaine of 107 gms from their position in two seperate raid conducted in the metropolis.
Joint Commissioner of Police K P Raghuvanshi told reporters here today that three Nigerian nationals were arrested from Bhendi Bazar area in south mumbai yesterday and seized 100 gms of cocaine. Two Tanzanias were also nabbed from Ghatkopar for possessing seven gms of cocaine.
Mr Raghuvanshi said during last one decade only 169 gms of pure cocaine was seized by the ANC because it is generally sold to the customers after adulteration.
The arrested persons were -- Gaju Harulali, Hamidi Hamada Sharuphi (both Tanzania), Abdul Razak Abdul Odiya, Chriton Olinio and Isha Prince (all Nigerian).
The commissioner said these people were involved in supplying drug to big pubs and parties in the metropolis.
They were produced before Additional Chief Metropolitan Court S Y Shisode, who remanded them to police custody till June 20, he added.
