Wadettiwar alleges forgery of his sign, letterhead

Mumbai, June 14 (UNI) Shiv Sena MLA Vijay Wadettiwar today claimed that his signature and letterhead were forged as he had never met contractor Abdul Patel, who was referrred by Leader of the Opposition Ramdas Kadam.

Mr Kadam during a press conference yesterday said that the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) had filed an FIR against Mr Waddetiwar for duping the contractor for Rs 3.5 lakh.

He charged that Mr Waddetiwar, a supporter of Revnue Minister Narayan Rana, had taken the money from Mr Patel on promise of giving him work.

The contractor moved the Sessions court which directed that the ACB file an FIR against the Sena MLA.

Mr Wadettiwar demanded CID inquiry into the incident.
