Trains cancelled for Jharkhand bandh
Patna, June 14 (UNI) The East Central Railway (ECR) has cancelled several trains and changed routes of some others in view of the Jharkhand bandh called by the CPI(Maoist) today and tomorrow.
ECR sources here said the decision to cancel or reroute the trains was taken as trains have been targeted on similar occasions in the past.
According to the revised route, 1448 Shaktipunj Express leaving Howrah today had been rerouted through Pradhnkhuta, Gomi, Gaya, Mughalsarai, Chunar and Chaupan. 4611 Ranchi-Varanasi Express would run along Rajabera, Gomi, Gaya and Mughalsarai. The same route would be followed by 4612 Varanasi-Ranchi Express. 8101 Muri Express has also been rerouted via Rajabera, Gomo and Gaya.
The trains which have been cancelled today and tomorrow are 3347/3348 Rajendranagar-Barkakana-Palamu Express,625/626 Barkakana- Gomi Passenger and 627/628 passenger.
The two-day bandh call was given by proscribed CPI (Maoists) in protest agaianst the alleged police atrocities on innocent'' citizens.
