TN donating vegetables to Venkateswara temple

Tirupati, Jun 14(UNI) Tamil Nadu donates ten tonnes of vegetables to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) every month.

Since last year, the two markets the Chennai based wholesale Koyembedu market and Vellore market have been supplying five tonnes of vegetables each to the TTD 'anna danam' canteen where about 25,000 pilgrims are provided free meals at the temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala everyday, TTD sources said.

The consignment of the vegetables for the month of June, worth Rs 50,000 will arrive at the canteen on June 16.
