Three of a family killed

Kancheepuram, July 14 (UNI) A couple and their driver were killed and four others injured when a van in which they were travelling hit a stationary lorry at Acharapakkam near here early today.

They were proceeding from Gandarvakottai to Chennai for a wedding.

Three people were killed on the spot. Four others belonging to another family were seriously injured and have been admitted to Chengalpattu Government Hospital.

After the accident, traffic on the Chennai-Tiuchirapalli Highway was obstructed for about an hour.
