Thackeray stresses need for unity among majorities

Mumbai, June 14: Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray today stressed the need for unity among the majority population of the country to fight the global menace of 'terrorism'.

Mr Thackeray was addressing a delegation of Gujarati Jain and Kutchi Jain yesterday, who had called on him at his residence Matoshri here to express support for Sena's candidate from Mumbai graduate's constituency, Dr Deepak Sawant.

Mr Thackeray also referred to the terrorist activities by the Lashkar-e-Toiba, saying it has the support of Pakistan. He criticised the central goverment as well as the Congress for its ''hypocris'' saying that the latter had ''imported'' Congress president Sonia Gandhi from Italy to administer the country.
