Thackeray does not have faith in electronic voting
Mumbai, June 14 (UNI) Shiv sena chief Bal Thackeray today criticised the electronic voting machine and said he did not have faith in this system.
''Press the button and vote'' is the new system introduced in the country, but the button itself can be faulty which can give birth to fraud, said Mr Thackeray.
There are only two persons involved -- the voter and the presiding officer -- and the officer presses the button after the voting is completed by the voter.
In this system, the votes can go missing, Mr Thackeray alleged while speaking to a delegation of Gujarati, Kutchi Jain yesterday at his residence at Kalanagar, Bandra.
