Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road blocked over youth's arrest

Srinagar, June 14 (UNI) Angry protestors blocked the Srinagar- Muzaffarabad road at Pattan today, demanding immediate release of an arrested youth.

Official sources said the security forces arrested a youth, Assadullah Tantray, from Palhalan near Pattan in north Kashmir district of Baramulla this morning.

As the youth was not released till this evening, the protestors converged on the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road, also known as Jhelum Valley road, at Pattan.

They blocked the traffic for several hours, demanding immediate release of the arrested youth.

Senior civil and police officials have rushed to the spot.
