Smuggler wanted in heroin case nabbed in Ferozpur

Ferozepur, June 14 (UNI) Police have arrested a notorious peddler absconding in a case of smuggling heroin across the Indo-Pak border.

The arrest of Kashmira Singh could lead to busting of a narcotics smuggling gang active in the region, police sources said.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur, Arpit Shukla said Kashmira Singh of village Jodhan Bhaini in this district was involved in case under the NDPS Act in Sadar Jalalabad, in which five Kg heroin was recovered by BSF on the border in July last year.

On specific information that the accused had come to visit is home, a police party nabbed him early yesterday.
