SEBI Chief to inaugurate MF Summit 2006

New Delhi, June 14: Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) M Damodaran will inaugurate the second edition of Mutual Fund Summit 2006 tomorrown at Mumbai.

The summit will include release of a report on ''Indian Mutual Funds industry : generation Next'', jointly prepared by Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and PWC.

The report provides a snapshot of the emerging trends and challenges and a brief introduction to the generation next products.

''The summit is intended as a conclave of industry players, regulators and policy makers and industry associations. It aims to provide a platform for identifying industry level issues and directing policy level and structural changes,'' a CII release said here today.

The event, will seek participation from Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company Ltd Chief Executive Officer S V Prasad, M U K Sinha from UTI Asset Management Company Pvt Ltd, Ajay Srinivasan from Prudential Corporation Asia, Sam Ghosh from Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company Ltd, A P Kurian from Association of Mutual Funds In India and Vivek Kudva from Franklin Templeton Asset Management India Pvt Ltd.
