Rainfall occurred at isolated places

Bangalore, Jun 14 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded here at 0830 hours today.

The monsoon was weak over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at isolated places over the State.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Srinivasapura 5; Kolar 4; Udupi, Hunsur 3 each; Koppal, Chintamani, Sidlaghatta 2 each; Bagepalli, Bangarpet, Gudibande, Mulbagal one each.

Forecast valid until friday morning : Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers forecast : Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all districts of Coastal Karnataka and Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban, Chamarajnagara, Tumkur, Kolar, Mandya, Mysore, districts and ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over all districts of North Interior Karnataka and remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka.

Outlook for subsequent two days: Increase in rainfall is expected over the State.

Bangalore city forecast : Generally cloudy. Rain/thundershower likely towards evening/night.
