Rain relief not yet in sight
Kolkata, Jun 14 (UNI)Kolkata continued to scorch under sweltering heat for the third consecutive day as the monsoon stayed away from the city.
The city recorded a maximum temperature of 35.1 degree celsius and a minimum of 29.2 degree celsius.
The sky remained partially clouded, making the weather hot and sultry.
Met office forecast rain or thunder showers in the districts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, while the other parts of the state will continue to experience dry weather, including the state capital.
