Punjab govt transfers 18 IAS and 3 PCS officers

Chandigarh, June 14 (UNI) The Punjab government has transferred 18 IAS and three PCS officers, most of them Managing Directors of boards and corporations.

According to transfer orders issued by the Department of Personnel late last night, R C Nayyar has been given the additional charge of Secretary, Revenue, and Director, Disaster Management.

The other transferred officials include Mandeep Singh Sandhu (MD, PSIDC) Arun Goel(Secy, Expenditure and Dir, Disinvestment), A S Chhatwal (Secy, Power and Project Dir, Shahpur Kandi Project), Viswajeet Khanna (additional charge of Secy, Civil Aviation), Dr Roshan Sunkaria (MD, PSIEC), S P Singh (additional charge, MD PUNCOM), Kulbir Singh (additional charge of Commisioner, Faridkot Division), V K Singh (MD MILKFED), B C Thakur (Spl Secy, Water Supply and Sanitation), G S Grewal (MD, MARKFED), Mandeep Singh (Dir. State Transport) Hussan Lal (Dir Rural Development and Panchayati Raj) Kumar Chaudhary (Director, Welfare of SCs and BCs), K S Pannu (Spl Secy, Home Affairs), Alaknanda Dayal (Additional Secy, Finance), Khushi Ram (Deputy Comissioner, Mansa), S K Sharma (MD, SUGARFED).

The PCS officers transfered are N S Walia as Municipal Commissioner, Bathinda, Shiv Dular Singh as MD PRTC and Narinder Singh Brar as Director Hospitality.

Meanwhile, the government has asked director Vikas Pratap, IAS to immediately join as Municipal Commisioner, Ludhiana.
