Prohibitory orders imposed around exam centres in Kashmir
Srinagar, June 14 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has imposed prohibitory orders in and around the examination centres in Baramulla and Pulwama districts to curb the menace of copying, an official spokesman said today.
He said the District Magistrate, Baramulla has imposed section 144 in around all the centres in the district.
Similarly, the District Magistrate, Pulwama, has imposed restrictions under section 144 around the examinations centres in the district.
The spokesman said this has been done to ensure smooth conduct of examinations and prevent undesirable activities around the premises of all the centres.
The order would remain in force till the end of examinations being conducted by Kashmir University and the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education, the spokesman added.
However, he said the order would not be applicable to the security and the police personnel deployed for duty in and around these examination centres.
