Portugal's Deco trains, "tired" Ronaldo drops out

MARIENFELD, Germany, June 14 (Reuters) Portugal's playmaker Deco was back in training today but winger Cristiano Ronaldo left the session after just a few minutes.

Portuguese media watching the practice from the start said Ronaldo came on to the field in normal trainers rather than boots, ran a few laps with the rest of the squad before pointing to his right hamstring and returning to the hotel.

''He is just a little bit tired. He's gone back for some special training. There is nothing wrong with him,'' spokesman Afonso Melo told Reuters.

Ronaldo, who plays for Manchester United, was substituted after an hour in Sunday's 1-0 win over Angola in World Cup Group D.

Deco, who had trained separately on the sidelines on Tuesday, looked to be participating fully after recovering from a foot injury sustained in a clash with team mate Costinha last week.

''I hope Deco is feeling better because he is a team player,'' Costinha told a news conference.

Portugal will play Iran in their next Group D game in Frankfurt on Saturday.
