Minorities safe in MP: Chouhan
Pachmarhi (MP), June 14 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said minorities are completely safe under the rule of the BJP Government, which believed in 'Sarvdharm Sambhav (positive secularism)'.
Mr Chouhan, while talking to reporters after two-day informal cabinet meeting here ended today, said the state government was fulfilling its responsibility of providing security to minorities.
''One or two incidents of communal violence would have taken place but the state government and administration has dealt them with iron hand,'' he said, adding compared to other states incidents of violence against minorities in Madhya Pradesh were negligible.
After the discussion with mediapersons, Mr Chouhan, ministers and party leaders, who arrived here last evening from Bhopal in a special bus, left for the state capital.
The 12-hour-long ''introspection'' meeting mainly discussed the issue of the state's development.
