India U-19 team to tour England from July 9

Bangalore, June 14 (UNI) Tonmay Srivatsav will lead a 15-member India Under-19 Team to England on a tour from July 9, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Joint Secretary M P Pandove said today.

Announcing the team at a press conference here, he said the squad would play three One-Dayers and an equal number of four day matches each. The team comprised four fast bowlers and three spinners.

This was the first tour abroad for the Indian U-19 team which last played in the World Cup and lost to archrivals Pakistan in the finals.

Mr Pandove said the selected players would undergo a 12-day training camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) from June 27.

The Team: Harshad Khadinala (Maharashtra), Praveez Aziz (Assam), Uday Kaml, (WI-Punjab), Tonmay Srivatsav (Captain-UP), Virat Kohli (Delhi), Sumeet Sharma (Punjab), Ravi Teja (Hyderabad), B Srimanth (Andhra), Omkar Gurav (WK-Mumbai), Yo Nahesh (Tamil Nadu), Abu Nacheem (Assam), Ishant Sharma (Delhi), Amarpreet Singh (Punjab), Shabhaz Nadeem (Jharkhand-Vice Captain) and Karan Veer Singh (Punjab).
