Five people killed in road mishap

Bijapur, Karnataka, June 14 (UNI) Five people, including four of a family, were killed and three seriously injured when their jeep collided with a lorry on Solapur Road on National Highway-13, today.

Police sources said the jeep was on its way to Solapur. While Krishna Somasing Chavan (30), Nasir Ibrahim Bori (45), Idaresh Hakim Bori (40) and Kurakhan Hussein Dawoodbhai Bori (40) died on the spot, Rashida Kureshi Bori (40) succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital.

The injured were admitted to the District Hospital.
