Congress worker attempts suicide on denial of ticket

Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, June 14 (UNI) A Congress worker today attempted to commit suicide alleging that his rival and party MLA was trying to stall the party issuing ticket to him for the ensuing Panchayat polls.

According to the police, Lingam Lakshmikar had attempted suicide leaving behind a note saying MLA G V Prasad was standing in the way of his getting a party ticket for the Chitveli ZPTC election.

Other party workers rushed him to the hospital where he was declared out of danger.
