Chhattisgarh CM meets Pawar, Patel
New Delhi, June 14 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh called on Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar here today to discuss the needs of his state in regard to the two sectors.
According to official sources, Dr Raman Singh discussed with the Civil Aviation Minister, the commissioning of the instrument landing system at Raipur which was installed in 2005 to facilitae operations during adverse weather, removal of manpower shortage in AAI in Raipur for introduction of new flights and increase in parking space at Raipur airport.
The Chief Minister discussed with the Agriculture Minster an ambitious agriculture project costing Rs 750 crores and covering a three year period requiring the Union Government's contribution of Rs 300 crores in three years.
The project will benefit the vulnerable groups of the state like BPL, SC and ST.The development of a better cropping pattern may give more income to farmers and lead to enhancement in production and productivity, Dr Singh told Mr Pawar.
