CBI arrests BSNL Bhubaneswar GM on by bribery charges

New Delhi, June 14 (UNI) The CBI today arrested a General Manager of the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) accepting a bribe of Rs one lakh to extend the contract of a security agency and clear its bills, in Bhubaneswar.

Sunil Kumar Aggarwal was arrested on the complaint of the proprietor of the security agency, that the former wanted favours in regularisng the extension of his contract for providing security personnel to BSNL, Bhubaneswar and for passing his pending bills, the CBI said here.

The bribe amount of Rs one lakh was part payment of the deal made with Aggarwal who is the General Manager, Cellular Mobile Telecom Sevice at BSNL Bhubaneswar.

Searches were being conducted on the official and residencial premises of the accused.
