Camp for self defence techniques for women concludes
New Delhi, June 14 (UNI) A camp to provide training in self defence techniques to girls from Delhi and neighbouring states ended here today.
Delhi Lt Governor B L Joshi was the chief guest on the occasion of the conclusion of the camp, where training was imparted to 1820 girls of different age groups.
Delhi's police commissioner K K Paul presidedd over the function, where the girls gave a demonstration of self defence techniques before the chief guest.
Also present on the occasion was Chairperson of the National Commission for Women Girija Vyas as a special guest. NDMC chairperson Sindhusree Khullar and several senior police officials were also present.
The camp, which began on May 29, was organised in three different locations in Delhi.
Certificates were also distributed to the participants by the chief guest.
