Bush leaves Baghdad after visit

WASHINGTON, June 13 (Reuters) US President George W Bush today left Iraq at 1:50 pm EDT (2320 hrs IST) after a surprise trip to Baghdad to meet with the new Iraqi leadership and US troops, a White House official said.

Bush, who met with Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to show support for the new government, was on his way back to Washington.
