23rd Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championship from June 18

Bangalore, Jun 14 (UNI) About 600 budding swimmers from 24 States will be vying for top honours at the 23rd Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championship, to be held at the Jain International Residential School swimming pool from June 18.

Karnataka Swimming Association President Neelakantarao Jagadale told newspersons here that last year's winners Maharashtra Boys and Girls were the strong contenders, followed by Tamil Nadu.

He said swimming competitions would be held in group III and IV categories and diving in group I, II, III for boys and girls.

Hosts Karnataka would be fielding a strong contingent of 54 swimmers.
