Van der Sar misses Dutch training with minor knock
FREIBURG, Germany, June 13 (Reuters) Dutch goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar missed training at the Dreisamstadium in Freiburg today because of a minor calf strain.
Coach Marco van Basten said Van der Sar would be fit for his team's second Group C match against Ivory Coast on Friday.
''It is not a real injury, more an inconvenience,'' Van Basten told reporters.
Van Basten also said playmaker Rafael van der Vaart had fully recovered from his ankle problems.
''Rafael is 100 percent fit,'' said the coach.
Van Basten was proud of his team's performance in the 1-0 win over Serbia&Montenegro on Sunday.
''There was a lot of tension on the match and it was hot but still we did well and that gives us confidence,'' he said.
''Our good start is also important because we still have to face two good opponents.'' The Dutch end their group campaign against Argentina on June 21.
